Knowledge Sharing Platform (KSP) Terms of Usage
In order to gain full access to the Knowledge Sharing Portal (hereinafter referred to as KSP), companies must create a profile and register as a user (hereinafter referred to as “Registered User”).
This access may only be used by eligible employees of Authorised Organisations.
- Authorised Organisations are those which have completed the full Tech Against Terrorism assessment, and have received a Trustmark.
- To be eligible, employees need to be over 18 years of age.
In order to become a Registered User, you need a password. You may choose your own password, which must be used with your username when logging into the TATP. Alternatively, we can send a password to you. The password is personal and you must not transfer it or in other ways make it available to other non-Registered Users. It is your responsibility to ensure that the password does not fall into the hands of a third party. If you become aware that the password is or may have been compromised, you are obligated to inform us thereof. We can and will change the password if there is a risk that the password has been compromised or is used in violation of the Terms of Usage.
As a condition of use of the KSP, a Registered User represents and warrants that they shall not use the KSP for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by this Terms of Usage. Registered User agrees to abide by all applicable local, state, national and international laws and regulations and Registered User shall be solely responsible and liable for all acts or omissions that occur while Registered User or an agent of Registered User accesses the KSP. By ways of example, and not as a limitation, Registered User agrees:
- Not to transmit or upload any material to the KSP that contains viruses, trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, or any other harmful or deleterious programs;
- Not to interfere with or disrupt the KSP networks or servers;
- Not to delete any legal notices, disclaimers or proprietary notices;
- Not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the KSP, other accounts, computer systems or networks connected to the Site, through password misuse, mining or any other means; or
- Not to interfere with another authorized party's use and enjoyment of the KSP.
Any resources that are directly downloadable from the KSP are clearly highlighted and are available for companies to print and store hard copies of. All other resources are for reference purposes only, whilst logged into the KSP.
Unauthorised copying, distribution, presentation or other use of the KSP or part hereof is a violation of the copyright law and/or other legislations and may thus result in civil and criminal penalties.
Registered User use of any information or resources on the KSP is entirely at Registered User’s own risk, for which Tech Against Terrorism shall not be liable. It is Registered User’s own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or materials available through the KSP meet Registered User’s specific requirements.
The KSP may also include links to other websites. These links are provided for Registered User’s convenience to provide further information. They do not signify that Tech Against Terrorism endorse the website(s) / organisation(s). Tech Against Terrorism has no responsibility for the content of the linked website(s)/ organisations(s).
Registered User shall indemnify, defend and hold Tech Against Terrorism and its subsidiaries and affiliates, officers, directors, employees, shareholders, members or agents harmless from all damages, liabilities and expenses (and all legal costs including attorneys' fees, court costs, expenses and settlements resulting from any action or claim) arising out of, connected with or resulting from any violation of this Terms of Usage by Registered User or Registered User's use of the KSP or material provided by the KSP.
The KSP and all materials contained therein are provided on an “as in” basis without any warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tech Against Terrorism disclaims all warranties, including the warranty of merchantability, noninfringement of third parties’ rights, and the warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Tech Against Terrorism makes no warranties with regard to the accuracy, reliability, accessibility, completeness, or timeliness of any information supplied. Tech Against Terrorism does not warrant that the site will be operational, secure, error-free or virus free. Registered User uses the KSP and the KSP materials at Registered User’s own risk.
You acknowledge that such information and resources may contain inaccuracies or errors and Tech Against Terrorism expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Tech Against Terrorism may terminate Registered User’s right to access and use the services offered on the KSP at any time for any reason without liability. If we do so, or if Registered User elects to delete your profile, any rights granted to you herein will immediately cease.
When deleting your profile, you will no longer have access to services on the KSP which require your registration and/or login as a Registered User.
The Register User Terms of Usage are subject to the appropriate law, and, unless otherwise stated, the general rules of the appropriate law apply in all relations between Tech Against Terrorism and the Registered User of the KSP. Any disputes must be brought before the court of Tech Against Terrorism’s jurisdiction unless this violates the mandatory jurisdiction rules.
Unauthorised use of the KSP may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
The protection of individual personal and company data is an important concern of Tech Against Terrorism. Details of your Company and Authorised Users, including name, email address and any other information you submit to this website constitute personal data for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, United Kingdom.
Tech Against Terrorism uses your personal data only to the extent necessary for the purpose of technical administration of the website, for user management, and for product and project updates.
Your personal data will be kept on file by us and used to introduce you to the range of KSP services. We will not pass your details onto any third party and you may request to be removed from our list at any time by e-mailing [email protected] and stating what you wish to be removed from (KSP and /or newsletters).
Under the Data Protection Act you have the right to access your personal data held by us and to correct any inaccuracies in that information.
Tech Against Terrorism may modify this Terms of Usage at any time, at its discretion, and modifications are effective upon being posted on the KSP. Registered User is responsible for reviewing this Terms of Usage to ensure that Registered User is aware of any changes made to the Terms of Usage.
The content of the material within the KSP is subject to change without notice.
We may monitor usage preferences for our own records.
The KSP contains material which is owned by or licensed to Tech Against Terrorism. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these Terms of Usage.
All trademarks reproduced on the KSP which are not the property of, or licensed to, the operator are acknowledged within the KSP.
By using the KSP, Registered Users accept to be subject to the Terms of Usage. If Registered Users do not accept these Terms of Usage, you are kindly requested not to use the KSP any further. The registration as a Registered User requires your express acceptance of these Terms of Usage.
